MR. COATES IN ENGLAND

During iris stay in Lnglaml. Mr. F. Wrey Nolan was pro.sen I at a mnnhov of the functions given in honor of the visiting Prime Ministers at the time of flio Imperial Conference, and he said to-day that there was no doubt that- Mr. J. G. Coates had created a very good impression. His visit would certainly benefit the Dominion, for all in England had been impressed with the Now Zealand Prime Minister’s 'virile personality. Of tin) Prime Ministers who visited England for the Conference. Mr. Coates and Mr. S. M. Bruce wore the most sought alter. D said a lot ioi Mr. Coates that he had made such an impression, tor lit* was, coiuparat-ixcly speaking, a young man. and the English people ' are most conservative. The personal element counted for a great deal with the leaden- in Eng land, so that the time spent by Mr. Coates would he a distiuet gain tot New- Zealand, and would be the means of cementing a better understanding between the Mother country and the Dominion.
