A Los Angeles message says that George Young, 17, of Toronto, Canada, won the Catalina Channel swim, a distanoe of more than 25 mites. The official time is 15 hours 42 minutes. Young received 25,000 dollars, the Wrigley prize. It is expected film contracts and other awards will provide an additional 75,900 dollars.
