Tenders are being called for the erection Of the new factory which is to be , mi | t for the Ofcouriao Dairy Company, near Whakatane. Mr Keith K. Kirk, of Gisborne. who is at present studying in London, has succeeded in passing his examinations in firman law. constitutional law, and history of law, according to advice received in'Gisborne by his father, Mr. J. "•• Kirk. The death occurred at the Cook Hospital to-day of Mrs. Ethel Margaret Jones, wife of Mr. Sydney Jones, a wellknown resident of Kaitaratahi. Mrs. Jones had passed through a months painful illness, and death, at the earlyage of 40 years, came as a great relief. The deceased had always been ot a quiet disposition, and was highly respected by all, who knew her bho was the daughter of Mrs. and. the late Mr. J. A. McKinley, and sister of Mrs. Percy Briasco (Tauranga), Mrs. T. Atkinson (Gisborne), Miss W. McKinley (Tauranga), Mr. W. M. McKinley (Wanganui), Mr. Jack McKinley (Gisborne), Mr. J. McKinley (Maka»ri), and Mr. Fred McKinley ' (Napier). The late Mrs. Jones is .survived by her husband and two daughters, to whom .sincere sympathy will be extended. The funeral takes place at 2.30 p.m. on Wednesday.
