NICARAGUAN REVOLT (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) ‘MANAGUA (Nicaragua), Dec. 26. The opposing forces of the Conservative and the Liberal (rebel) Governments at Las Perlas, on the east coast of Nicaragua, declared a truce to bury the dead and care for the wounded.
The losses are heavy on both sides, the result of a four-days’ battle, in which the Liberals, allegedly aided by Mexicans, forced the Conservatives to withdraw toward Bluefields.
