PILGRIMS TO BETHLEHEM IMPRESSIVE CEREMONY lAustralian and N.Z. Cable Association.* JERUSALEM, Dec. 27. Thousands of pilgrims from all parts of the world in motor cars joined in a pilgrimage from Jerusalem to the shrine at Bethlehem, led by Greek and Roman Catholic Patriarchs. The Orient joined with the Gentile, while Arabs and Jqws, who are usually at daggers drawn, forgot their differences and - joined in the journey. Pilgrims crowded the Basilica Grotto, which was lighted by 15 lamps, four representing the Latin Church, five tho Armenian Church, and six the Greek Church
Following Mass on Friday at midnight, the Patriarchs led the congregation through he Basilica, depositing an image of the infant Christ upon a manger on the exact spot where He was born.
