No service cars attempted the trip to-day, but passengers were taken to Motuhora by train this morning and met by ears which were to take them through to Rotorua. It is’expected that they will arrive in Rotorua by 9 o’clock this evening. Judging from the condition of the road at present it is stated it would be inadvisable to altemnt travelling on it for nearly a week. Owners of private cars are taking full advantage of the railway service, and are having their cars taken to Motuhora hy rail gather than attempt the journey.
