CONVENTION IN PARIS EXTENSIVE PREPARATIONS (Elco. Tol. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (The Times.) (Received December 29, 5 p.m.) LONDON. December 28. Tho Times’ Paris correspondent states that accommodation will be fully taxed when delegates to the American Legion convention, embracing 20,000 ex-service men, and 10,000 female relatives arrive in September. The convention is expected to profoundly affect public opinion in the United States and France.
Twenty-eight liners, including the Leviathan, convey the visitors to French ports, whence 50 special trains bring them almost simultaneously to Paris. Already 21,C00 rooms have been booked. The Government may requisition ihe remainder.
