OBITUARY
ME. CHAS. WILLIAM PURNELL (Per Press Association.) ASHBURTON, this day. The death has occurred of Mr. Charles 'William Puriiell, 83, journalist, who, in his early life, edited the Evening/Post, Wellington, Wanganui Chronicle, and Church Press. He was admitted 1 as a Hirn'stcr an 1878, and continued to practice; to the end. He became ill during the week-end.
