TUXN EY ’S ST AG E RO HE. NEW YORK, Nov. 18. (iene .Tunney, the wprld’s heavyweight champion, will begin his vaudeville career next week at a salary of 7500 dollars a week. A great climax in his turn comes in a scene wherein Blablah —an allegorical figure representing Temptation —asks Tuimey what thoughts ran through his mind during his tight with Dempsey.
Blablah asks: “What were you thinking about when you shot that right to the jaw in the second round, and missed him?”
The “intellectual” Tunney (disguised as llooey) replies: “Love’s labor lost.” Blablah continues: “And what did you think about when you shut Dempsey's left eve in the tenth?”
Tunney replies: “The light <Hat. failed. ’ ’ The name'of the author has not been revealed, but he is said to lie a prominent elevator operator.
