Bricklayers and workmen have had plenty of scope for their operations during the past few weeks in. making extensive alterations' to the premises occupied by Slr.'O.'B* Vjucent, paperhauger and color merchant. The second storey of the building, which has lain idle for abqut five years, has now been furnished, and' is to be used for wedding and similar parties. The most striking feature of the alteration is the arrangement of the windows ili the front, of Mr. Vincent’s store. These are of exceptional depth, and are well suited to display samples of his wide and varied gfcoclt of papers and works of art. An attractive Island window contains "a fine assortment of artists? requisites, and within the shop itself the appointments are all that could lfc desired. ' One of the most interesting and beautiful displays in the shop is a. cabinet of splendid specimens of Trojan pottery, a fcoygl liiie of china which'is fast becoming very popular, and for which Mr. Vincent lias the sole agency in Gisborne; Mf.'
