DIDN'T DO IT
TALL DIVING* YARN BOOK WITHDRAWN LONDON, Nov. IS. The amazing attempt to filch the credit for salving the Laurentic's gold has been exposed by Captain Daiuant, who was in charge of the operations, and has resulted, says the Daily Sketch, in the withdrawal from circulation of Lieutenant G. Williams' book, "Diving for Treasure." Lieutenant Williams, who was one of tho leaders of Lieutenant Ken ley's unsuccessful treasure-hunting expedition to the Coco's Islands, relates how he was towed at full speed in a diving suit for seven miles behind a salvage vessel, which had not time to haul him up from the Lauren-tie when a German submarine disturbed operations. "Captain Danrnnt protests that this and other stories are obvious absurdities, and declares that Lieutenant Williams was only a wireless operator, that he Avas never a-naval officer, and had no connection with diving.
