COLLEGIATE MATCH fUSnORNR ALL OFT: 112. The annual collegiate cricket match between the elevens of the Napier and Cisborne High Schools was commenced to-day at, the Oval before a large attendance of pupiSf and their parents. The Gisbonie side won the. toss, anil baited first, the innings closing* for a fetal of 112. At tin' luncheon adjournment the first Napier pair remained unwparated, and the score stood at 12. ['he fiisborne innings was marked by the performance of Fraser, who tfent in with .Martin to open, and remained' practically throughout the innings. He played very safely, and after an hour and a half, be bad a score of 29 to his credit. Carson and Lowndes assisted him substantially to carry the score along. Carson compiling 17 and Lowndes 18, while double-figure scores were also made by Lysnar (13) and Pocock (19, not out). The Napier fielding was very keen, and their returns wrm exceptionally fast at limes, three of the batsmen being nu\ out in flio course of the innings. Von Sftirmer and Parkinson did most of the damage for Napier, and the wicket-keeper proved himself smart and safe.
