CLAIM FOR TREATMENT DOCTOR'S DISCOVERIES NEW YORK, Nov. IS. The Canadian Lancet gives prominence to an announcement >-y Dr. Glover and his associates definitely classifying cancer as a specific infectious disease due to a, germ which has been successfully isolated, and reporting the production of a combating witi-toxiu that has given direct results in clinical use in America. Official reports .from cancer clinics that have tested Dr. Glover's antitoxin, indicate that it has a therapeutic value, and in many cases, previously considered hopeless by physicians," the symptoms had disappeared under the new treatment. There waß liope for wholesale immunisation, and future treatment might consist of phophylaetic inoculations of standardised toxin for nil those showing cancer susceptibility. Dr. Glover, who was formerly pathologist at St. Michael's Hospital, in. Toronto, came to New York live years ago, and recently was assisted bv American millionaires.
The Canadian Lancet says editorially that Dr. Glover's work apparently has been established on a sound basis, '' so we may look forward hopefully to a day of deliverance from one of the greatest scourges of the race."
