OBITUARY
MAORI WAR VETERAN (Per Press Association.) _ TALMEIuSTON N., last night. The death occurred of dames Alexander MoCrea, at the age of SO years. Mr. MeCrea was a widely-known ant. well esteemed pioneer of the Most Coast. „ T He was born in Northern Ireland anil arrived in New Zealand sixty-six rears ago as a volunteer m the laranaki war, where lie went through several heavy engagements and suflered nfanv privations. He uas Hu possessor of the New Zealand war medal. Mr.. AlcCren was one the most successful Jersey breeders m the North Island and was also a gnat lover of flowers. He leaves a union, three sons and a daughter.
