As the hostel has been greatly improved during the winter, Waiicaremoanashould be mote popular than ever this summer. Messrs. Cook Bros, are building an up-to-date slaughterhouse and butcher s shop at tlie power house, and machinery will be installed for tlie making of ail small goods. Not only will this fill the requirements of the district, but will he most convenient for tlie tourist camper. I lie fishing season does not commence this year till November, but the fisherman may Jpok forward to Hie best of sport as the trout by that time should be iu very good condition. Mr. YV. M. Gray lias purchased a new car for the Wairoa-Lake run, so that in this respect the district is well off. Most uf the stations have commenced docking; the lambs are looking well, there being plenty of fresh feed.
