CRICKET.

OLD BOYS' CLUB. The annual report of the Old Boys' Cricket Club has* been circulated among the members, as follows: — The inaugural meeting of the club was held on September 11, 1925, there being a fair attendance. A senior and a junior team were entered for the competitions, and thanks to the generosity of the club's supporters, sufficient gear purchased for their use. The senior team was successful in winning the Senior Cup, while our juniors Were i'uuners-iip in their grade. This is a record for any club to be proud of, for a first season. The senior team only lost one match during the season, being defeated by United. Five of tiie senior' team, Lockett, J. and B. Scholium, Lord and Mouat attained representative honors during the season, and put up good performances. Special mention should be made of J. Scholium's splendid batting throughput the season. It was very gratifying to players being able to field a full team throughout the season, and the club was able to put eleven men on the ground right up to the last competition game. It is to be hoped that this keenness will continue during the coming season. The thanks of the club are due to Messrs. P. J. Roberts, F. W. Nolan, 11. E. Bright, L. V. Pyke, A. M. Beale, R S. Oaulton and C. Lord for donations and support accorded to the club during the year. Junior Team.—The committee, though wishing if it is at all possible to enter a junior tea'm, regrets that unless the financial position of the club is greatly improved, it will be unable to do so.
