SHAREHOLDER OBJECTS ADVANCES EXCEED SECURITY. (Per Press Association.) tIIRTSTCHU iJPH, this day. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association of Canterbury* held to-day, was largely attended. In answer to one question, the general manager said the item of bad and doubtful debTls included £16.000 in respect of advances made to certain previous directors. Another shareholder took exception to advances being made far beyond the value of the securities. There had been criminal waste, he said. The report and balance-sheet vvero adopted, and the retiring directors reelected.
