REQUEST FROM AUCKLAND (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. The Minister of Public Works, in reply to Mr. W. J. Jordan’s telegram stressing the urgency of providing unemployment relief at Auckland, telegraphs : “1 expect to reach Auckland next Monday, when f shall be glad to see what- can he done to help the position. 1 have already asked my department. what work can be put in i and' pending my arrival.”
