GOOD QUALITY STOCK STORE SHEEP There was a fairly heavy entry of store sheep at the Mata where sale to-day, including many lines of ewes with lambs. The yarding contained many good pens of sheep of all classes. Up to the luncheon adjournment 25 pens had been offered. There was an average* attendance of the public, but bidding was slack, and most pens were passed in. Wethers sold ii]) to 22s Cd for a particularly good line*, and hoggets to 20s, and ewes with lambs to 21s 6d. FAT CATTLE. 'Only one cow was offered in the beef section. This was of average quality, and sold at £4 10s. FAT SHEEP. Three Hundred fat sheep were yarded, including a fair entry of first-class pens. Bidding was fairly good on til'd best pens, but slack on other lines. A heavy pen of wethers made £1 5s 3d, while a fino pen of 30 prime ewes anadd £1 Is 2d. A pen of well-grown hoggets made 19s lOd. while a few black-faced hoggets made 16s 3d, which would bo about their store value. Prices were: 6 good hoggets 19s lOd, 5 ewes (p) 17s, 14 do. 20s 6d, 18 do. 17s 6d, 30 do. (prime) 21s 2d, 10 do. 17s 6d, 7 hoggets (b.s.) 16s 3d, 16 wethers (p) 255. 3d, 21 ewes (p) 18s 6d, 31 2-tli wethers (p) 20s 6d, 18 wethers 23s 6d. 18 do.
