Air. Anthony Ilorden, of Sydney, was a- through passenger by the Aorangi at Auckland this week. lie was on Iris way to Canada. Air. T. Diggorv, late manager in Liverpool of the shipping and transport departments of the Great Western Railway Company, arrived this week at Auckland by tiie Aorangi on a brief holiday visit to New Zealand. Sir Joseph Ward, is expected in Whangarei in about a week and arrangements are being' made for a banquet to be held to which leading business people are being invited. The function will bo non-political. Air. A. H. P.’Moline, general manager for New Zealand of the Taranaki Oil Fields Limited, returned to Now Zealand by the Aorangi this week after a visit to Melbourne to discuss the future policy of the company with the principals. Captain P. W. Bull, who recently resigned his position os general manager of Huddart, Parker. Ltd., after a period of 45 years' service ashore and afloat, uas last week presented by the Melbourne staff of the company with a gold watch and) an address signed by the officials, expressing their regret at his resignation.
