STORTFORD LODGE SALE. The Associated Auctioneers held their usual weekly sale at Stortford Lodge this week, when a good yarding of sheep and a small yarding of cattle were ottered. The beef entry was of very poor quality, but prices realised showed very keen demand. The majority ot the sheep entry was composed of good hoggets, a few pens of ewes with lambs at foot and a small entry of wethers. Competition for hoggets, owing vi» unfavorable weather conditions, wag decidedly slack, and a considerable portion of the entry was passed in unsold. The sheep entry generally showed improvement in condition, and some of the hoggets yarded! were particularly good. The following is a range of prices realised : Fat cows £lO 15s, £8 ss, £7 17s 6d, £6 12s 6d, £7 15s, £11; fat heifers £9 5s to £9 15s; vealer £2 10s, store cows £1 to 30s, low condition Hereford steers £2 4s to £3 10s, vrlg. Jersey heifers 28s 6d, fat weds. 27s 9d. 325. 33s 9d, fat ewes 225. 26s to 31s 3d, fit hgts. to 31s, ligts. from 15s to 25s 64, 4-tli. store weds. 22s lOd to 25s 6d. ewe ligts. 18s to 21s. owes with lamb at foot (in.a.) 22s 6d, Ms 6d, 27s 6d.
