Tha Daily Express announces that negotiations arc practically completed for the sale of Sir John Ellerman’s weeklies, tlie Sphere, the Illustrated London News, tlij Tatler, the Sketch, Eve, the Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News. It is understood the purchasers are a group of members of the Inveresk Paper Co., and it is believed the price is £2,000,000. Commenting on Monday the Evening Standard is increasing in size to 24 pages, including the innovation of a full page of illustrations.
