It appeals that on Saturday evening. Constable Leckie spoke to the accused, who was creating a disturbance outside the Rangatira hotel. The accused continued to make trouble and when the constable wont fa aires! him. made off towards the river. In order (o evade capture he jumped into the river, but was eventually secured. Ilu was lined 1113. m default two months' imprisonment with hard labor.
