TO-MORROW'S POLL
Ratepayers in the Cook County will to-morrow be called on to decide whether the present system of rating on the capital values of properties
shall be altered in favor of rating on the unimproved value. Some lit lie time ago the eouufil received :i petition from a number of ratepayers on the flats asking that the poll should be taken, and as tar as .an l.c ascertained the desire for an alteration in the system exists solely amongst the smaller landowner .
Polling will be curried on at booth; scattered throughout the county be twecn the hours of 0 a.m. ami (i p.m.. and it is expected that a fair proportion of the. ratepayers will exorcist their 1 ight to vote.
