WELLINGTON, last night
At a recent, conference of the licensed victuallers of the Dominion, held in Wellington, a re organisation scheme was decided upon, and in future (he organisation will lie known as the United Licensed Victuallers of Xew Zealand. (>ik> of the principal objects of the change is (lie bringing in of all those owners connected with"the retail branch of the trade, including owners of licensed premises who are not licensees and lessees, etc. By means of the consolidation thus brought, about, it is anticipated that much can be done to improve the conditions of the trade. It is the intention to thoroughly re-organise the whole of the individuals embraced by the new organisation, and, for this purpose, Mr. Percy Coyle has been appointed official representative, with full executive authority.
Tim following are the officers for the year 1926-27: President, Mr. A. Rose (Canterbury) ; vice-presidents. Messrs. W. Brodie (Auckland) and J. McParland (Wellington); executive, "Messrs. P. J. Griffin "(Wellington), R. Marshall (.South Canterbury), M. O'Brien (Otago and Southland), W. Keller (West Coast of' the South Island), W. Harris (.Marlborough and Nelson), W. Devine (West Coast of North Island). B. Aislabie (East Coast of the North Island), and J. Criffin (Auclkand); hon, treasurer, Mr. Coltman (Wellington).
