McCONACHY’S EXHIBITION There was a good attendance at tlie Vietoiia Billiard! Parlors last evening, when Clark Mcfbnaehv. prolessinnaJ billiards champion of New Zealand, gave an exhibition of trick and fancy shots, and also played interesting games of billiards and .snooker against prominent local iiiiinU nrs.
The match of the evening was of 7ho up, the champion conceding to his opponent, J. Jlutehei), of Gisborne, 450 points. The local cueist was able lo do himself justice at times, and made seveial good lireiks, including one of 56. and ethers of 18 and 20. MeOonach.v opened with a break if 77, and followed with smaller breaks, until after
half an hour's play he sett led down, and made 377, 91, and 220 unfinished, in .succession, the imliiii.shcd break taking him end. He gave a remarkable exposition of the top of the table game, and of control and L uch. Later lie played a game of snooker, and had an easy victory over IL Gartshore. to whom he conceded three blacks.
