New potatoes made their first appearance at the city markets yesterday, when a small consignment was disposed of at 2d to 3.td per lb.
Owing to their early maturing, the potatocK offered were "in too watery a condition to attract much at lent ion. Supplies will bo irregular till about the end of September, when the main early crop will appear.
