The Daily Mail Berlin correspondent slates a sensation has been caused Iliroughou! Germany by Die arrest of Dr. Rudolf Haas, the great Mndgeburg industrialist, on a charge of suborning a workman and a chauffeur to murder his chief cashier. It. Hermann Helling, who disapepared in l!iL'o.
The body was found yesterday buried in a cellar, the result of a clue provided by an anonymous letter to the police, The chauffeur acknowledged luring the cashier to the cedar and the workman Sehrocdcr confessed to murdering him. He alleges Haas enticed him.
It is suggested the crime is associated with Helling allegedly discovering that the Haas Co. was falsifying its income taxation returns, and informing the authorities. He mysteriously disappeared live hours before he was due at the oltice of the Inspector of Taxes.
