The theft of a motor-car battery, valued at iJ4, was admitted by a motor salesman, .lames .Morton Alt-Gill, in the Wellington Magistrate's Court yesterday. A pleasant function took place at the Kaitftratalri Hal] on Thursday night, when the local residents met to say farewell to the McDonald family, who are leaving the district after a residence of six years fit Kaitaralahi.
