The list of nominations for tho various classic events under the jurisdiction of the C..T.C. published this morning, provides a clear indication thar the Dominion possesses a large range of young thoroughbreds, ami also that the future prosperity ot* the sport of horse-racing will bo assured with the material that will be available to grace the turf during the coming seasons. Tho total for tho seven classics under review is no fewer than fK"4,' which represents an increase of 247 over the entries.made for the same events at the corresponding period last season.
The following is a comparison between 1020 and 102(5, and the figures make interesting reading:—
