BOMB OUTRAGE.

CARD PARTY UPSET.

HOBART, June 3.

The police are investigating a sensational bomb outrage at the Advmsfield osmiridiiun diggings. A card party was in progress at the residence of Mr. N. -Shelton, who was entertaining four friends, Messrs. Boyshore, Hall, Inman and Morns, when suddenly there was a terrific explosion, the force of which threw .some members of the party to the ground. Fortunately no one was hurt, and investigations revealed that- the explosion occurred under the floor of an adjoining bedroom, destroying a bedstead and other furniture. The bomb was apparently home-made, being in a jam tin. So ’far the police, have no clue as to who was responsible for the outrage.
