RESISTED ARREST.
MAORI EEEORE COURT*. £5 FINE IMPOSED. A native, Ratabi Trota. who was stated to havrt rnado a nuisance of himself outside the Masonic hotel last evening. appeared before Mr. E. C. Levvey, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court this morning, and pleaded guilty to charges of drunkenness and resisting arrest. Senior-Sergeant Fitzpatrick stated that following an ineffective warning, the accused was arrested by Constable Gatehouse. He then violently and finally had to bo handcuffed and taken to the station in a taxi. Ou the charge of drunkenness he was convicted and discharged, and on the other charge he was fined £5 and costs, fourteen days being allowed in which to pay.
