MAN INJURED AT MAKARAKA; SENSATIONAL OCCURftENCE AT ORM'G'ND. A man named Duncan McLatirin, an employee of Mr. W. -Turbull at Ngatapa, had a fortunate escape from serious injury late last evening, when a motorcar, driven by Mr. James R. Hair, of Patutahi, knocked him down and carried him several yards along the read. The .accident occurred half way between Makaraka and Matawhero. According to the statement given the police by the driver of the car, he saw two men walking ahead of him, one on either side/ of the mad.
