OBITUARY.

AIRS. T. A. COLEMAN

Widespread regret will be felt throughout tho Gisborne district at the announcement of the death of Airs. Eliza Coleman, relict of the late Air. Thomas Alexander Coleman. Airs Coleman had been in failing health for the past six months, and she passed away peacefully at her residence, Iranui road, yesterday. The deceased,was born in Alelbourne, and was a daughter of the late Mr. A. T. Jones, building contractor of that city. Airs. Coleman passed the early years of her life in Melbourne, and saw a great, deal of the development of the Australian colonies. During the early nineties Mrs. Coleman, with her husband and family, came to New Zealand, and for the past 30 years had been resident in Gisborne. -

The deceased lady was of a quiet and kindly disposition and was endeared to a very wide circle of of friends, to whom t-hfl news of her demise will come as a painful blow.' Until recent years Mrs. Coleman interested herself greatly in all movements for women’s welfare. Most sincere sympathy will bo extended to her bereaved daughter, Miss Lylie Coleman. and two sons. Mr.. Arthur Trevor Coleman and Mr. Thomas Alston Coleman. . '.
