To such an extent has electricity become popular, that the engineer declares that the load to come on during the next few months will bring the Council up to its limit unless the Power Board can be induced to agree to a higher demand. If unable to do so, further additions might, have to cease. For March,'a total of 55,716 units were used, an advance cf over 51 per cent, on the corresponding month of last year, when 36,806 units were taken up. Of the total, the \streefc lighting absorbed 2382 units, making the Borough ono of the best lighted in the Dominion.
