It is countrywide, and the newspaper declares that, Ihe organisation, located in the, West End, spent' months in perfecting the arrangements. It offered backers' Tjs pcr ! cent, of the winnings and a salary of £2fi a year to act as agents for the purpose of'carrying out starting-price coups. Tho organisation claims to own several horses and to be able to buy the chances of others in the same race, enabling the manipulation of the market before the selected horse wins. Sporting Life points out that tho organisation's profits aro 92J per cent, in the event of a win, and it would not refund ihe agents' outlay if the horse lost.
