Reporting to the Fire Board; upon the inspection made by him last month pf the Gisborne Fire Brigade; Inspector Huuo states that. the. total .membership of iho brigade wai>-in attendance'at the muster. One of the trailer: pUmps was taken to the wharf and wotked wjth satisfactqry results,.the;; inspection drill being carried out in 1 an efficient manner. Some minor matters which required attention had been: discussed . with /tha superintendent. " . " " . "The comprehensive programme . for improvement in the equipment and efficiency of the brigade now being:'carried out by your Board is very satisfactory," writes the inspector, "with the exception that provision of a 50ft. fire ladde* is necessary to complete the major equips rnent. I would strongly recommend the enrolment of a volunteer fire police corps on the lino fully explained when in Gisborne." , ■ -. ,
