FIRE RAZES VILLAGE.
32 EGYPTIANS BURNT. LONDON, April 7. A fire which raged for sixteen hours destroyed a village of 600 houses near Tantah, where Australian and New Zealand troops quelled riots after the war, says a message from Cairo. Four thousand people are homeless, and 32 corpses have, been recovered.
