WAIROA WEDDING.
BERRY—CHICKEN. (Special to the Herald.) WAIROA, this day. At St. Paul's Church on Tuesday morning a wedding of considerable local interest was celebrated, the, parties being Miss Annie Douglas Chicken, youngest daughter .of Major John. Chicken, and Mri F. Berry, of Wairoa, and formerly of Nottingham •(England). The Rev. Mr. Shardlow, M.A., performed the 'ceremony, and Mr. Terry presided at the organ. The bride wore a pretty frock of ivory channeuse', with godits of ivory georgette, veil, and orange blossoms. 'The bridesmaids were the Misses Phyllis.aud Edna Chicken, the nieces of the bride. Mr. H. C. Gibson, of "Waioina," was best man, and Mr. M. MeKinnon groomsman. The young , couple left by-' rtar afterwards on a honeymoon tour of the North Island.
