The prices at the fourth wool sale of the season, which was hold to-day, showed ;a considerable improvement. The market was buoyant and competition animated, making tho sale the best of the scries. Continental buyers vrew'- active throughout, andl bought heavily. Bradford was also active, but prices were too high for, local mills, and, they were unable to operate to any great extent. The. entry was tho product of the late shearing in the back country, and man> lots suffered in brightness. The wool was seedy and heavy. Wool scouring firms competed' keenly throughout for fellmongering lots.. CUt of 14.481. hales only 223 were passed. Of (his number J 29 holes were in the last catalogue and were mostly merino.

Merino prices increased by ljd to 2d, Corriedalos 'improved Id .to crossbred.s were iiipi Id to t£ll on February figures, and super half-breds sold to Id better. In other' grades halfbreds increased slightly more and coarse half-breds improved; n fraction. A more marked advance took place in three-quart or bred, which were Id better than the February sales.
