STRUCK A SOLICITOR.
INCIDENT IN WELLINGTON. PROSECUTION. AS SEQUEL. A \VQniaif niinied Mona Mulcahy-, appeared in the Magistrate's Court in Wellington, last week charged with assaulting Norman Arthur Foden, a well-known Wellington solicitor.- .Defendant, admitted that she struck him, but,her excuse . was that she thought he was another man- . 4 "Jt happened in the Court corridor," said complainant. in evidence. "I was 'coming out when she ran up to we, and, saying something about being properly married, struck xne across the face." Giving, evidence, defendant said she was sorry for vhat had happened. Her name had been mentioned in a tenancy, case recently, and it had been suggested that she was was not married. So she went, and secured her 1 wedding lines to prove that she was. . Coming out of Court she saw a man who had said terrible things about her, and, went to strike him. Accidentally, however, she struck Mr. Foden. ; .... The. Magistrate.
