AUCKLAND’S CAPITAL VALUE. (Special to the Herald.) AUCKLAND, this day. The total rateable value of Aueicland City is £2,138,592, according to a report submitted to the City Council by the City Valuer, Mr P. F. motley. In reporting that he had compiled and deposited tho valuation list for 1926-27, the valuer said there were now 25,086 assessments, as compared with 23.822 for last year, an increase of 12)04. The additional assessments were orincinallv the results of land subdivision in Grey Lynn, Remuera, and Point Chovaker. "The' total rateable value was £2,138,592, which amount was subject to revision by an Assessment Court. Last year’s rateable value, after tho revision by the Assessment Court, was £1,972,628. so that there was an increase of £165.964, or 8.4 per cent.
