HAMILTON REGATTA. (F<r Press Association.,* HAMILTON, last night. The Anniversary Day regatta was held in glorious weather and there were some very keen rowing contests. Junior fours: Hamilton 1, St. George’s (Auckland) 2. Won by half a length. Time, 11.30. . Maiden fours: Waitemata 1, Mercer No. 1 2, West End No. 1 3. Won by three lengths. Time, 7.54. Maiden singles: R. Cruickshauks (Hamilton) 1, F. Fogarty (West End) 2, A. Stewart (Waitemata) 3. Won easily. Time, 10.7. Maiden fours (open): St. George’s 1, Waitemata 2, Hamilton 3. Won by half a length, with a canvas between second and third. Time, 7.45. , Junior fours: Hamilton 1, St. George’s 2, North Shore 3. Won easily. Time, 10.43. Senior single sculls: C. D. Alolesworth (Hamilton) .1, W. A. Stevenson (Waitemata) 2, D. Smith (Waitemata) 3. Only starters. The race was a hard fought one, Molesworth finally getting slightly in advance. After passing the traffic bridge he never onco let go his advantage, although seriously challenged by-Stevenson as the race finished. Molesworth led by a length, Smith not far behind. Challenge fours: Hamilton (Saiulos, Bavly, G. St. Clair and Curtis) 1, Waitemata 2, West End 3. Won by four lengths. Time, 14.45. Junior pairs: Hamilton (Cave and Waters) 1,, Hamilton (Tasker and Corlett) 2, Waitemata 3. Won by a length and a half. Time, 11.15. , Senior doubles: Hamilton (I. St. Clair and Afolesworth) 1, Waitemata f (Stevenson and Smith) 2. Won by three-quarters of a length after a good race. Time, ,10.27: Alaiden doubles:.Hamilton 1, Waitemata 2. Won by two lengths. Senior pnirs: Hamilton (Sandos and Curtis) 1, Waitemata (Johnston and Smith) 2. Won easily by three lengths. Time, 12.2. Hamilton secured ten firsts, Waitemata two firsts and St. George’s one event.
