(Per Press Association.) HAW ERA, this day. The cricket match, Taranaki v. Wanganui, to decide which would have the right to challenge Nelson (the holders) for the Hawke Cup, commenced here to-day in excellent weather conditions and on a fairly good wicket. Taranaki won the toss, and batted first. At the luncheon adjournment. tho score was 10(5 runs for six wickets. TEAMS FOR TO-MORROW. The following will represent the Gisborne Club versus City at the Oval to-morrow: H. F. Forster, L. H. Balfour, R. E. Gambrill, E. R. Hogs', J* M. Robertson, B. C. Jeffreys, F. 11. Qartshove, D. G. S. MacDouald, it. Kennedy, B. K. White, and A. G. Scddon.
The following will represent City, to play Gisborne Club, oil No. 4 wicket tomorrow: —Carter, Baker, Scholium, Jensen, Matthews, Miles, Harvey (2), Wilson, and Dow (2). United juniors to ploy Old Boys on the Oval to-morrow will be picked from the following: Stubbs, Pope, Williams, Holdsworth, Patterson, Green, Bradley, Stenncr, Bell, Newton, Smith, Franks, and White (2). A team will be selected from the following to represent Old Boys juniors to play against United at the Oval tomorrow: Ivcss, Hosier, Airoy, Franklin, L. Smith, Carron, Duncan, Ingram, Paisley, Dodd, McCurrnv, and Somerville.
lno following will represent ’he United seniors against Poverty Bay Club on Saturday: Olsen, Watson, Fuller, Coombo, Kemp, Moody, Allsup, Nicholson, Brown, Jcnning and Kobertson
The following will represent Old Boys seniors against High School to-morrow: Lockett, Lord, Mount, J. Scholium, B. Scholium, McCoy, Kay, Roberts, Langlands, Martin, and Haismnn.
