The Greeks continue to hold a long strip of Bulgarian territory to a depth of live miles, stretching from Potrifch across the Struma Valley towards Tevrokop. According to the Times special correspondent on the spot, shells were still falling in Petritch on Saturday evening. So far the Bulgarians have not resisted the Greeks but the correspondent points out that they at any moment might begin to do so in spite of orders to the contrary from Sofia. LONDON, Octtobcr 25. The Greek Legation denies the Bulgarian statement that Petritch was bombarded. The Greeks merely entered Bulgaria for the purpose of forcing the retirement of the Bulgarians who have not yet evacuated Greece. SOFIA, October 25. Briand’s telegram, states that the Bulgarian Minister, at Paris, will represent Bulgaria at a meeting of the League Council. Ho expresses profound gratitude to the Bulgarian Government for the early intervention of the League in a conflict which, ho declares, originated through a Greek invasion of Bulgaria. He reiterates that the Bulgars have not entered Greece.
