AMAZING SCENES.

IN THE GERMAN REICHSTAG

IN FLATTEN” VICTIMS.

BERLIN, June 2b.—The Reichstag today witnessed an unprecedentedly dramatic scene when a small army of inflation victims, representing the millions wbo lost their savings and mortgage holdings through the depreciation of the mark, stormed into the lobbies, denouncing the Government, and particularly the Nationalists, for their niggardly and inadequate revalorisation programme. Fully half the invaders were women, who had come from all parts of flic Reich, and obtained entry into the Reichstag building through passes supplied to them by the so-called Fascist Deputies. With cries of “Traitors!” “Cowards!” “Robbers!” and other denunciatory' epithets, the mob stormed tile doors leading into the Reichstag meeting ball, demanding to see the Nationalist leaders, Herr Hergt and Count Westarp. Both these gentlemen, who led the demagogic campaign of the Nationalists against the Marx Govcrnmentj with promises of ample and generous reimbursement of the inflation victims, failed, however, to respond (o the mob's demand.

The Communists, quick to seize the opportunity', sent out several of their best “spell-binders,” who proceeded to address the invaders and explain to them bow Stines and other capitalists had profited bv their misfortune by Hie manipulation of the mark. One woman, seizing hold of a Centrist Deputy and member of the Revalorisation Committee. shrieked at the top of her voice so that it. could easily be heard in the Reichstag Chamber: “The country which betrays and deceives its people as we havo been betrayed will surely have the curse of God upon it.” The Nationalist Deputy. Lawrenez, was pounced upon •by a group of weeping and wildly gesticulating women on bis appearance in the lobby, and was compelled to listen to an outburst of insulting condemnation addressed to him personally and to his party as a whole.

Only after the invaders had become quite hoarse and tired did they vacate the building, still shouting curses and vowing vengeance against- the Government, and tho Nationalists in particular.
