OUT FOR LIFE.
,JOCKKY DISQUALIFIED. BROKEN HILL SENSATION. BROKEN HILL, July 24.-A. J. Niemann, the well-known jockey, has been disqualified for life. Prior to weighing-out for the Hurdle Race at the South Broken Hill Cup meeting on Wednesday, Niemann, who was to ride Deuce, was thought by the stewards to be in an unfit condition to ride in the race. Mr. J. Higgins, chairman of the stipendiary stewards, told Niemann to go to the stewards’ room. Instead of doing this, Niemann, according to official report, became abusive. Mr. Higgins then disqualified the jockey for three years for improper behavior towards the stewards. Niemann, according to the report, continued to he abusive, and as a result disqualification lor life was imposed.
