SCULLING CHAMPION.
BEACH PRAISES GOODSELL,
(Received June 29, 1 p.m.) SYDNEY, June 29.
The Daliy Telegraph, conceding Hannan’s gameness, declared he is not in the same class as Goodsell. Beach describes Goodsell as a remarkable clever sculler, capable of doing much better, and with a wonderful future before him. His victory was most ■ decisive, - but Hannon showed gameness in, a heart-breaking stern chase nearly all the way. Referring to Hannon, Beach said he was shooting his slide badly, causing the boat to bury itself at the bow.
