The steamer Merida, sunk fourteen years ago with a million pounds sterling of gold bullion, lias been located off Norfolk. Virginia, at a depth of 2Coft by a salvage expedition of New Yorkers, who bagged hundreds of square miles of the ocean floor before touching the wreck. Tlie divers descended successfully and recovered everything.
