A message from Billings, Montana, states that portions of the Staten of Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, and Wash-ington,-representing the nation’s playground, were harrassed by earthquakes for four hours on Saturday night. No fatalities are reported, but traffic on one of the transcontinental railways was suspended by avalanches brought, down by the ’quake and a collapsed tunnel.
Thousands of people, rushed panicstricken into the streets of different cities at the first tremor.
Half a dozen buildings were' cl« ir.olished
